Celebrate and communicate with badges

Badges are a great way to provide feedback to your team or congratulate them on success. Eye candy, motivation, fun, gratitude and even nudges -- giving and getting badges is a great team booster.  You can send badges on specific actions, specific goals, a weekly status report or just because you feel like it.

Giving badges

You can give a badge at any time by clicking on the trophy icon at the top right of your Workboard screen, then entering a person, several people or the name of one or more teams.  Add a personal message with the badge and press Send.

Badge an action item:  From a workstream list, as you rollover an action item you will see a kebab 3-dot menu at the right of the action.  From there, select Give a badge.   The recipient will get the badge with a note showing it was for the specific action item.  When you open an action item to the Action Item Detail page, the 3-dot menu in the upper right also has the option to Give a badge.

Badge a goal or objective:  From the heatmap leaderboard list, as you rollover any objective you will see a kebab 3-dot menu at the right.  From there, select Give a badge.   The recipient will get the badge with a note showing it was for the objective.  When you open the objective to the Objective Detail and graphs page, the 3-dot menu in the upper right also has the option to Give a badge.

See your badges:  Go to your MyWork page and at the top in the "trophy case", you'll see View All Badges. Click that to see the badges you've earned and given.

Managers and co-managers of a team will be able to see all of its members' feedback badges. Otherwise, only the badge giver and badge recipient will see the badge and the note that goes with it.

Send a badge from chat

If you've enabled Slack integration or Microsoft Teams integration on your account, our chatbot (nicknamed "WoBot") can help you send a badge to a co-worker right from chat! Just ask WoBot to "Send [name] a badge", and he'll help you select a badge and add a quick note. Your co-worker will get notified of the new badge in chat and in Workboard, and can even send a quick "thanks" with a single click!
